Travelling, the last 18 months
I came to the US in August 2012 for pursuing my masters in Computer Science at USC. Since then, when not studying and working on my assignments I travelled. I am writing this post because I want to tell a story and will do so using pictures which I clicked while I travelled.
I live in Los Angeles. So went and saw the Hollywood sign up-close.
Did my first ever road trip to San Diego.
Visited New York City, and fell in love with the city
and celebrated New Year 2013 in Times Square.
Then, partied, gambled and had loads of fun in Las Vegas.
###Did my longest ever Roadtrip. I drove to Portland
and was mesmerised by some amazing greenery
and more greenery.
Visited San Fransisco
and fell in love with the city.
Did some wine tasting in Napa Valley.
Being a huge fan of Steve Jobs, paid a visit to One Infinite Loop.
Spent a weekend at Lake Tahoe.
Said Hello to my friends in Seattle
and went around Seattle.
Camped for the first time ever at Yosemite
and went hiking, got this crazy picture.
Travelled to New York again to watch Federer play.
Had a stop over at Hong Kong. Went out and explored.
Went home after 1.5 years and got a very nice welcome
Spent some awesome time with best buddies in Gokarna.
Partied in Goa
Drove to Big Sur via Highway 1
Apart from travelling, I have hiked a lot of peaks
and more peaks.
Skydiving, Flyboarding and Skiing.
What I gained out of travelling ?
- Met amazing people, and made friends.
- Got a chance to explore different food cuisines.
- Completed some items on my bucket list.
- Experienced different cultures.
- Learned to be more patient
- Learned to love life and make the best out of it.
and there are many more reasons. It just keeps me ticking.
If you’re twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel – as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them – wherever you go. ~ Anthony Bourdain
